The Rules

These are the rules I attempt to blog by.  Like everything else here, they’re a work in progress:

1) I will not blog angry. There are plenty of rants out on the Internet already; this doesn’t need to be one of them. Plus, I could do without developing ulcers.

2) This is not a religious blog. Primarily, I think it’s going to be a political one. Now, those of you who know me will no doubt point out that my religion tends to color everything else that I think and say (at least, I’m hoping that’s the case :-) ), so I’m not going to try and fight that. There will no doubt be some occasions where I quote scripture or bring religion into the picture, but please understand that that is not the focus or primary subject matter that I’m taking on here. (If you do have an interest in or questions about spirituality, I invite you to visit Parkview church of Christ’s website. That’s the congregation that I attend when I’m in Houston and their website includes a lot of great bible basics.)
